With winemaking experience from the Veneto the Peruzzi family have produced, since 1988, the sparkling wine, Spumante, according to the method Classico Millesimato using the native Verdicchio grape. The Verdicchio grape is only grown in the central area of the Marche region around the castles of Jesi where the Peruzzi vineyard makes part of the communes Monte Roberto and Maiolati Spontini.
Wine from this grape develops, in contrast to most other white wine, well over time and is therefore very suitable for the production of this sparkling wine. The taste of Verdicchio Spumante is dry, well balanced and slightly bitter. On the nose it is soft and refined with some slight expression of bitter almonds. It is pale straw coloured, with greenish hues.
The vineyard has been cultivated in the same way over the time and the company has received certficates for ecological production from the Italian wine making society AMAB and supervision authority IMC. This is marked on the label from 2004.

The area of production is 3 acres and the yearly production is around 5000 bottles. Each bottle is handled individually with special care by the producer Liana Peruzzi. The wine is mostly sold directly to clients who visit the vineyard in via Calapina, Monte Roberto.
